about Uniqueness of

Our Methodology

The attitude of Art of Living Educational is focusing on human values that are inborn in each individual, such as friendliness, willingness to share, compassion and a sense of belongingness.

The educational attitude is a positive attitude of the teacher combined with the attitude of acceptance towards oneself, the children, youth and parents. The Art of Living method builds up on the methodology that acceptance is the healthiest way to support a change in a human being. As a teacher, the aim is to be an inspiring example for children from whom they can learn. Therefore the adults need to work on their own attitudes to be a living example of what they are teaching.

about Global Organisation

Founder and Art of Living

Founded in 1981 by Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, The Art of Living is an educational and humanitarian movement engaged in stress-management and service initiatives.

Sri Sri Ravi Shankar is a humanitarian leader, spiritual teacher and ambassador of peace. His vision of a stress-free, violence-free society has united millions of people the world over through service projects and the courses of The Art of Living. He holds degrees in Vedic literature and physics. As a noted humanitarian leader, Sri Sri's programs have provided assistance to people from a wide range of backgrounds – victims of natural disasters, survivors of terror attacks and war, children from marginalised populations and communities in conflict, among others. As a spiritual teacher, Sri Sri Ravi Shankar has rekindled the traditions of yoga and meditation and offered them in a form that is relevant to the 21st century.

The Art of Living foundation is an international, non-profit, educational, humanitarian organisation. Its educational and self-development programs offer powerful tools to eliminate stress and foster a sense of well-being. Appealing not only to a specific population, these practices have proven effective globally and at all levels of society. The Art of Living movement has spread peace across communities through diverse humanitarian projects, including conflict resolution, disaster relief, sustainable rural development, empowerment of women, prisoner rehabilitation, education for all, and environmental sustainability.
